Positano

A town with terraces that descend through narrow alleys, streets and features reaching down  to the blue waters of the sea of the Gulf of Salerno.

It is  dominated by the urban white palette of its houses clinging to the mountain which along with the colours of nature creates a magical atmosphere, which has been able to enchant thousands of visitors for centuries. Rich in historical homes and buildings built in the 18th century Baroque style, Positano is the most desirable of the towns of the Amalfi coast, it is the ideal location for a dream vacation.

Superlative, the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, with a majolica dome of yellow and green tiles that houses the famous Byzantine statue of the Madonna Nera (black Mary) with child and the reliquary bust of San Vito.

The main beaches of Positano are the Spiaggia Grande and Fornillo, which are within walking distance of the main town, whilst  others, such as La PortaArienzo and San Pietro Laurito, are mainly reache by sea.

In front of Positano are the three islands of I Galli (Gallo LungoRotondo and Briganti) legendary home of the mythological sirens, insidious misleading mermaid like beings which  deceived  seafarers. 

Thanks to the morphology of the territory, Positano offers interesting itineraries for the discovery of coastal and mountain landscapes. 

In addition to its incomparable beauty and unique atmosphere in which it is immersed, Positano is known since the 1960s for its  fashion developed in the area, which features fabrics such as hemp and linen decorated with embroidery. 

The town hosts numerous events and artistic manifestations throughout the year, and especially in the busy summer season, one can have the opportunity to live unforgettable moments.
